Lindell (Butch) Gibbons
Class of 1965
I would like to nominate my brother, and Matthew and Brian Gibbons father, Lindell Gibbons for the Alumni Wall of Fame.
Butch was killed in the line of duty as a Florida State Highway Patrolman in 1985. He was in pursuit when a trailer truck ran over his patrol car killing him instantly.
Although he never achieved great wealth or fame, he died protecting is fellow man. This is the greatest honor one can give their life for.
All of us are proud that Butch died doing what he so loved to do. I ask that you bestow this honor upon him and in doing , so his sons that both attended Chaffee Schools in their childhood.
