About Me	I'm a United States Marine turned stay-at-home-mom and housewife. I have four cats because a) I can never turn down a rescue and b) kittens keep showing up on my doorstep. You'll never hear me refuse a cup of strong coffee. My spouse and I (along with some friends of ours) are survivors of the Aurora Movie Theater Shooting, that happened at the Century 16 Multiplex on July 20th, 2012. We were in Theater 9 for the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, when a heavily armed man entered the theater and opened fire on the crowd. My spouse and I, along with our friends, made it out of the theater with only minor injuries. A lot of families were permanently changed that day, including mine. I feel like it's my duty to tell our story in support of common sense gun control, in the hopes that further massacres can be prevented. Not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for my family, and every breath I take.
