Entered the US Navy in 1956, attended radio school. Served on board the USS Tang (SS563) and the USS Lexington (CVA16). Honorably discharged after 4 years. Reentered the navy on voluntary recall for Viet Nam. Stationed at Naval Communication Station Philippines, Command Destroyer Division 92 in Long Beach, CA. Deployed to Viet Nam, from there I was stationed at Naval Communications Station, Naples, Italy. Served on the USS Trippe (FF1075) in Charleston, SC. Served as a navy instructor at Naval Training Command, San Diego, CA. Went back to Naples, Italy for a tour. Was transferred to Commander Amphibious Group 1 in Okinawa. Our flag ship was the USS Blue Ridge, landing communications command ship. My last tour of duty was in Naval Communication Station San Diego where I retired as Commissioned Warrant Officer Four.
