About | Jennifer Bucher-Mackay Obituary BUCHER-MacKAY, Jennifer Marie (Age 50) Passed away December 13, 2011, with family and friends by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Jennifer was born March 7, 1961, in Spokane, WA. She was well loved for her great humor, story-telling and ability to bring loved ones together. She could accomplish anything she set her mind to, from starting a small business with her brother Mike, to remodeling the first house she bought. Jenny's creativity had no bounds. She graduated from Central Valley High School in 1979, and later attended SCC to become a Health Care Coordinator. She worked at Deaconess Hospital for many years, and earned the affection and respect of her colleagues for her diligent work ethic and great personality. In 1998 she married Robert MacKay and soon after was blessed with their son Adam. She was a loving wife and mother. Jennifer worked hard to make their home comfortable and beautiful. Her passions included camping and boating with family and friends, entertaining, jogging and writing. Her writing resulted in a short story, published in a boating magazine, retelling her brother's adventures boating around the San Juan Islands. Jenny was also in the process of writing a book. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Robert MacKay; sons, Adam, Andrew, Daniel, and Michael; daughter, Auben MacKay; sisters, Claudia Bucher and Judy (Keith) Veselits; brothers, Mike, Paul (Kirsten) and Barry Bucher; sisters-in-law, Claudia Stoneff and Jenny Letzkus; brother-in-law, Matthew; and father-in-law, George MacKay. She had numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Helen Bucher. Close to the end of her life she encouraged all of her siblings to come to church with her. Her illness brought her closer to the Lord and inspired her family with her faith. A memorial service will be held December 23, 2011, 11:00 AM, at North Country Chapel, 2281 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls, ID 83854-4483. Memorial contributions may be made to North Country Chapel. COMMUNITY CREMATION SERVICE SPOKANE VALLEY 13127 E.
