About Me	I was born in Aitkin, MN and moved to Duluth, MN when I was 4. I graduated high school, went to college, got pregnant with Ben and then got married. I then had another baby (Meghan) before graduating college (since I apparently didn't learn the first time that that wasn't a good idea). Meghan was born with an unknown genetic mitochondrial disease and required 24 hour care. We moved to Rochester, MN when she was 2 to try to get better medical care for her. When she was 4, she got an infection which quickly spread to her blood and caused many of her organs to shut down, including her kidneys, heart and eventually her brain. She died Nov 17, 2002. Her death led me to the realization that my marriage was an unhealthy one for the entire family and I divorced my first husband in 2004. I have since met and married Kevin who is the most wonderful man in the world. We now have two more children together. Ben is now 14 years old, Grace is 5 and Elizabeth is 4. Grace was diagnosed with Insulin dependent diabetes (type 1) in October of 2007. I work for the Mayo clinic as an RN.
