| About Me | I have worked many years with the Boy Scouts and received 2 Leader of the Year Awards. My husband and I performed for several years in 6'6" Blue Bird costumes. We wanted to up root the Chicken. We did the Mascot Olympics at the Kingdome, We did a commercial for the Seattle Mariners, we performed in parades in WA & OR, visited many hospitals and nursing homes in the northwest. We did slapstick comedy in between innings for the Tacoma Twins in Tacoma. I completed the Firefighter First Responder course with my son during his years with the Medical Explorers and I was also their Assistant Advisor. I've had many jobs but my favorite is the one I have had for the last 19 years. I supervise workers for in-home care for the elderly and disabled. It can be stressful but very rewarding. At the end of each day I know that I have made a difference in someone's life. My biggest reward in life is being a Mother to my son Shawn. He has made such a difference in our lives.
