Leigha Young Burnham

Class of 1990

Leigha Young Burnham, class of 1990, has been named District 1 Co-Chair for the Georgia Library Media Association. Mrs. Burnham is currently the Library Media Specialist at Gordon Central High School in Calhoun, Georgia. She has had a distinguished 15 year career in education including being named Floyd County Schools Teacher of the Year and the Floyd County Schools S.T.A.R. Teacher in 2007. As the purpose of the GLMA is the advancement and empowerment of school library media specialists across Georgia, Mrs. Burnham will be working to support school library programs in the Northwest Georgia area.
