About	Yemanja was a life long member of first African Baptist church. She attended college at Alabama State University for a year and then returned home. She later attended Stillman College and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Education. She then began her educational career at Matthews Elementary School where she remained employed until her death. She left behind a loving husband, Myron Coats: a son, William Marshall,Two daughters Ayanna Coats and Aviona King. As well as her mother, father, sisters, and her brother. Along with a host of other relatives. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
