About Me	After realizing that I had both an aptitude and passion for working with computers, I moved to Phoenix to complete a degree in Computer Information Systems. I taught high-school computer science for a year along with managing a small computer system for the school District. Later I worked for an semiconductor manufacturing company whose HQ is located near Milan, Italy. This was a very interesting time since most of the management was from Italy. Luckily I had enough exposure to foreign languages to quickly learn some basic Italian and was able to help translate instructions written in Italian to English. I briefly worked for an aerospace company, then moved to San Francisco. I spent a year managing a computer department for The Hunger Project, then worked for Westinghouse Corporation as a senior systems programmer. For the past 18 years I have been with Wells Fargo. I installed the original Internet email gateways for Wells Fargo in the early 90's. For about 14 years I managed an IT department in Corporate, handling senior management IT issues along with managing help services used by our Wholesale Banking group. I have a townhouse in San Francisco on the Bay with a view of the Giant's ballpark and Bay Bridge - which is a joy every morning to wake up to. I've travelled to England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and the Honduras. I've been to Hawaii many times (including being on Kona during "9-11"). I spent several years volunteering on non-profit agency boards, including an agency where we visited local hospital AIDS wards weekly to provide patients with support and personal items such as robes, toiletries, etc. -- during a time when mo...(read more)
