| About Me | US Army 1971-1973 : light weapons infantry Vietnam Nov 1971 to Mar 1972, military policeman Vietnam April 1972 to August 1972, miltary policeman Fort Knox, KY Sep 1972 to Mar 1973 (Honorably Discharged) National Park Ranger April 1973 to August 1976, Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Assigned to visitor protection and internal resources duties. Deputy Sheriff Sep 1976 to Feb 1980, Pennington County SO, Rapid City, SD, Patrol Division and later assigned to school liaison West Junior High and Stevens High School. Deputy United States Marshal Feb 1980 to April 1989 - Assigned to USM offices Sioux City, IA, Pierre, SD, Rapid City, SD and to USMS Office of Inspections, San Bruno, CA. DUSM regular duties, Fugitive Investigations, Witness Protection Program Assignments, Deputy-in-Charge Pierre USM, Federal Judicial Protection Assignments, Cuban refugee assignements Fort McCoy WI & Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, later assigned to internal affairs (USMS OI) etc... US Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General April 1989 to May 1998. Initally assigned as a Special Agent investigating corruption charges asociated with DOJ employees & programs (FBI, USMS, BOP, INS), became special agent-in-charge of the San Francisco Field Office in 1990. Opened and staffed new OIG offices in Seattle and Colorado Springs which came under my office in San Francisco.
