Alice died after a long battle with dementia. She had earned her doctorate in Psychology and worked for several years for Exxon in management development, and in the same capacity for several more years for Southland Corp., the company that owns most 7-11 stores around Texas and beyond. She was survived by her children, Paula Baker and Jim Bane, three grandchildren, her mother, and three siblings.
