| About Me | After graduation from Central High School in 1975, Della joined the Army. She spent 20 years in the Army in a variety of assignments such as Fort Hood Texas; Monterey California; Munich Germany; Fort Huachuca Arizona; Frankfurt Germany; Florida; and Fort Monmouth New Jersey. During her military career, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in her off-duty time. Della retired from the Army in 1996 with 20 years military service as a Master Sergeant/E-8. During her military service, she received a number of awards and commendations, to include the Legion of Merit award at retirement. She then worked as a defense contractor for several years at Fort Monmouth, and then entered federal civilian service. Since 2003, she has supported military operations in Kuwait (2 years); in Iraq (18 months); at Fort Bragg (18 months); and Kosovo (5 years). Della is currently a GS-14 in Kosovo, working on her Master’s degree. She maintains a residence in Pennsylvania, but has traveled extensively throughout Europe for many years.
