Favorite School Memory	Participating in the newly birthed Environmental Club and selling our vision of preserving Stony Valley to PPL. Through its preservation my family has enjoyed horseback riding, biking and hiking in the valley.
About Me	I have been in love and married for 40 years. I shocked my family by leaving home one morning and eloping. Took a 2 month honeymoon and saw most of the USA. Our first big purchase was a Geodesic Dome Tent (re: Buckminster Fuller) and that is how we experienced the beauty of this country (and Mexico)! Gasoline was 47 cents except in Palm Springs $1.19. We lived near my brothers in Scottsdale AZ for a time and worked for them in building homes. I learned a lot about masonry but returned to Pa and worked in concrete (foundations and finishing). Raised 2 awesome boys (Joel graduated from Bucknell in 2004 and Joey attended Messiah 1 year and is now enrolled in the Navy Nuclear Program in S.C). I have served in 2 awesome churches. Church Board and Sunday School for many years. My husband is a deacon. Augmented my education sporadically. Enjoyed the country life with a menagerie of horses, dogs, cats, and any other needy creature that crossed my path. It is not possible to encapsulate my life in one sitting...but I would just end by saying that I think that it is through life's storms that I have been strengthened and that I have found my calling...to be a caregiver. My mom will be 97 this year and she was the female version of Jack Lalanne (remember??) and through a medical 'mishap" she has been vent-dependent, bed-bound and fed through a tube for 6 years. Her mind is still sharp and we still laugh together...even though her body doesn't work. I have learned so much about myself through this roll...(read more)
