Darlene Rae Mollenhauer, 53, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at her home with her family by her side. A funeral service officiated by Reverend Beth Straw will be held on Saturday December 26 at St. James Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids at 1:30 with a visitation at the Church on December 26 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. A private burial will be held in Lafayette Cemetery following the service.
Darlene Rae Mollenhauer was born in Vinton, IA, on February 16, 1956; she was the daughter of Clarence L. Mollenhauer and Ruby J. (Coberly) Mollenhauer. She was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, as well as a member of the Emmaus Community. Darlene loved spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting.
Survivors are Darlene's father Clarence L Mollenhauer, children Jeremiah (Jacci) Usher, Briana (Todd) Evans, Nathan (Jade) Usher, Leah (Josh) LaBarr all from Cedar, sister Marsha Reihman of Amana, Sister Lori Sykes of Marengo, Sister Julie Fife of Des Moines, brother Clarence Mollenhauer Jr. of University Place, Washington, Grandchildren Aryana, Cain, Isis, Destiny, Garrett, Gage, Nathan, Gwendolyn, Michael, Jason, and by 8 step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby (Coberly) Mollenhauer.
