Sharon Martens '70 said:

Again, Susan was a band member and she played in the percussion section. We had a lot of fun! When we were in 9th grade she and Lucille Bishop insisted that this nerdy, geeky, uncoordinated girl be a cheerleader (me). They worked with me every day after school and lo and behold I actually made it through tryouts and made the cheerleading team. She and her sister Nancy were very nice and came from such a nice family.
