| About Me | After 60 years trying to do it my way, I am learning to take life as life comes and be happy. On my marker I want, "By becoming spiritually connected, Steven achieved every worthwhile goal he sought". So far those goals have included: marrying the woman of my dreams, DJ. DJ is my partner in everything, is a CPA and a Regression Therapist/Healer. We have raised 5 children, Jared (33) our oldest and our partner in Summit Farms. Jared is married to Brandi and has two children, Paige (2) and Bowen (2 months). Brandi has a salon in Alamosa. Nicholas, who is married to Jennifer. They have one daughter, Zoe. Nick (30) manages a asphalt batching plant in Columbia, MO. Jennifer is a pharmacist for Walmart. Amanda (27) is engaged to Bradley. They have one daughter, Peyton. Amanda works for the University of Phoenix and Bradley works for Intel in Phoenix, AZ. Nolan (27) is married to Kalee. They have one son, Shea and a daughter on the way in November. Nolan works for a building supply company in Alamosa and Kalee is RN for Valley Wide Health Services. Andrew (26) has a degree in mechanical engineering, but is going to school at UA in Tucson to become a physical therapist. He is engaged to Elizabeth and plan a September wedding. Elizabeth is a RN. We are still raising three daughters, Ashley (18) will be attending CSU in the fall. She has been selected to the Music Therapy program. Renee and Madison (16) will be seniors at Alamosa High School. We have built north of Alamosa on the Rio Grande the home of our dreams. Summit Farms is an integrated, successful potato seed farm. It grows potato seed primarily for sale outside of the San Luis Valley. Our customers include Frito-Lay, Grimmway Farms, Kirschenmann Farms, Button Willow Land and Cattle, White Wolf Potato Farms and NAPI. We grow 15 to 20 varieties. I am in recovery from addiction to opiate pain medication and still think like I am 25, but sometimes feel like 60.
