About Event

Hello everyone, If you are receiving this email we have found you! That's a good thing. We are starting to finalize our planning for our 20 year class reunion. Your party planning committee (Dean Waite, Bethany Calley, Jennifer La Jeunesse, Shelly Storer/Shafer, Ryan Gaston) are very excited for this event and we hope everyone can make it. The dates for the reunion are set for Aug. 3rd and Aug. 4th. Here are the events we have planned: Aug. 3rd - Class of 1992 Golf Tournament - Eagle Hills Golf Course: We are going to host a golf tournament at Eagle Hills Golf Course. We are partnering with the John William Jackson Fund. If you have never heard of this great organization go to http://www.johnwilliamjacksonfund.org/ If you are not aware, John William Jackson graduated from Centennial High School in 1994. You can read more about his story on the website. One of our class members, Sam Blaine, is very active with this group and we hope to raise some money for this great charity as we all get together and play a little golf. The format of the golf tournament will be a two person scramble (Both parties hit, then you choose the best shot and hit again…so on and so forth….you take one score for the team). We will then randomly choose two score cards at the end of the round and combine the scores. This makes it a little more fun and gives even the, shall we say, "more challenged players" a chance to win. The cost of the event is going to be $50 per player. This will include golf and lunch after the golf. If anyone is interested in just lunch, please let me know. Come and hang out with your classmates after the golf, it should be a great time. It's my understanding Sam Blaine is a master magician and will be performing after the golf. As Sam likes to say, "You won't believe your eyes!" We are using this event to raise money, so if you have a business, work for a business, or like to give people the business, we are looking for donations for the event. We are going to be looking for Hole Sponsors. You will get your company's name and your name (So we know which classmate's company it is) on a sign that we will position on one of the 18 tee boxes around the course. This is a great way to promote you company to your classmates and it's tax deductible…win win. The hole sponsorships will be $100 each. We would also like to get a drink sponsor as well and we would also like to see if a company would like to be our "Goody Bag" sponsor for each participant in the tournament. Additionally, we are going to be looking for donations for the winners as well as some possible raffle items. If you are interested in donating to this cause, please email me at rtgaston@gmail.com or rgaston@pimavalve.com We are also going to need some non-golfing volunteers to help out, so if you are interested in helping, please let me know. August 3rd - Casual Get together - at "The Curb" in Meridian - 1760 S. Meridian Road: Friday night we will be hosting a casual get together at The Curb in Meridian. The Curb is a Bar/Grill that is owned by Rob Truax, Class of 1991. Rob has agreed to host our event from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday night. He is going to shut the place down just for us for two hours…Thank you Rob! The Curb has great food, so I suggest you come for dinner and some reuniting time. You are welcome to get there as early as you like or stay as late as you like, our event will officially take place from 6 pm to 8 pm. This will be a pay your own way event. Aug 4th - Family Get Together (Day): We are trying to put together a family get together during the day on Saturday. Dean Waite, your Class President is currently working on this event. If you have any suggestions please let us know. Aug. 4th - The Reunion: The official 20-year Reunion will be held at the Boise Centre. That is the downtown convention center at "The Grove" - 850 W. Front Street, Boise. The reunion will start 5:00, dinner will be served at 6:30. The event will wrap up at 11:00. We are thinking about some music later in the evening. Still not sure on that idea. Let us know what you think. The Reunion will be $50 per person. 80% of that cost is dinner. Please RSVP as early as you can. You can RSVP through email. rtgaston@gmail.com We are holding the reunion cost at $50 per person through July 1st. After July 1st we are going to raise the cost to $60 per person. We are doing this so we can try and motivate everyone to RSVP and pay as early as possible so we can get a good head count on the amount of people we are going to expect as early as possible. Finally, we are going to need your help in finding those classmates that are missing in action. We currently do not have contact information for the following people. If you know any of these people, or are still in contact with any of them, please forward them my email address or give me their email address so we can keep them informed about the reunion. We are really trying hard this time around to get in contact with as many classmates as possible so everyone knows about the reunion. Any help with obtaining contact information will be really helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please feel free to email me anytime.
