Graduation Year Class of 1972
Date of Passing Dec 02, 2016
About Robert McKay aka Bobby to all his cousins and true friends passed away in December 2016 I was told. He had services attended by a handful of people in January 2017.
Although in high school he was quite an odd ball, ostracized by many, bullied by many more; he was quite a polite and smart person. Bobby was my first cousin, his Mother Angie and my Dad Tony were brother and sister, We did not grow up very close to the McKay cousins since they did not visit the Sanchez Banana Farm very often. Our Dad kept us busy on the farm, and I know Bobby's Mom and Dad were very strict with them too.
Needless to say, I did not have the deep down goodness to make good, good friends with Bobby, I suppose that his being bullied would also turn to the same treatment for me. I will always be sorry I didn't apologize for that prior to his passing.
I do know that goodness grows deep, and from a very early age. I salute Bobby's parents, and brothers and sisters; all of which are very good people.
Bobby, when I found out you passed, I felt so bad. You are with loved ones on the other side, your journey was hard, but your reward all the greater. A big Aloha to you, and condolences to your wife Cindy and your children and grandchildren.
Sincerely, Althea Sanchez Nakila

I knew him as a football player and Cindy's sweetheart. He was a soft spoken young man, tall, big and sweet. His son Bobby has all his traits. I was glad to know him in school and as we were growing up. Aloha Bobby
