| Favorite School Memory | I cut class one time in my life. It was at CCHS, there were four of us. Steve Mason, his future wife whose name I can't remember, Wanda Elmore and myself. Had a great time ! |
| About Me | Graduated in May, 1965. Went to Chicago 6 weeks later to go to school for tool & die training. My bride, from Wisconsin, came to Chicago in September of 65 to go to school also. Met her the day she got there. Been with her ever since, lucky me! Finished school and moved to Wisconsin in 1967. Married that lady in November, 1967. Served an indentured 4 year tool and die apprenticeship and have worked at the same company since 1967, first for the founder of the company, then his daughter and son-in-law, then his grandson and granddaughter. The grandchildren sold the company in 2007. The new owners named me the General Manager. So it's been a good life! I went to a great high school with some great class mates. I am so lucky that I had two awsome teachers, Dale Wolford and Cecil Hatter, who definitely impacted my life. Mr. Hatter was the most positive can do attitude I ever met. I've had a great life, been to places I never thought I would see, and done things I thought I would never have the opportunity to do when I was a young boy growing up in the hills all those years ago. And when I think about it, any success no matter how small, that I've had isn't really because Bill Grider is a great guy. It's because I've been fortunate enough all my life to go to school with, be taught by, am married to, and work with people who have taught me, guided me, and gave me inspiration when I needed it.
