About Me	I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a major in history and a minor in political science. After college I worked as a tour director in Alaska, Canada and the Northeast U.S. for 9 seasons -- during that time I met my husband, Leif, in Skagway, Alaska. We lived in Seattle in the 1980s when he was attending medical school at the UW. In 1991 we moved to Boulder, Colorado, for me to go to graduate school, and the sun and great powder snow have kept us here ever since. We have two children, a son, Kjell, born in 1994 and a daughter, Bryn, in 1998. I work as a freelance journalist, editor and adjunct professor of media studies in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Colorado.
