| About Me | About six weeks ago. I was told by my oncologist that my cancer had come back. It appears that the Gleevec that I have been taking for several years had stopped working for me,that's not an unusual occurrence in cancer treatment. I stopped taking Gleevec and was given a new medicine called Sutent. Sutent did not agree with me within two weeks I was having trouble standing seeing and I turned yellow from my liver not working. I have been off chemo drugs now for about 10 days now. For the first time in at least five years I don't feel like i'm holding onto life with my fingernails. I am able to feel wonderful. After my upcoming surgery I am not going to continue cancer treatment. I'm not going to take anymore poison the doctors think I should have 3 to 5 years if I do nothing and I don't plan to just do nothing.
