About Complications of kidney failure

Early Life: Dan was born in Laramie, Wyoming, on December 16, 1951, to Deloy Rodney Barrus and Ruth Beverly Simmons Barrus. He grew up in Sacramento, California, and graduated from Casa Robles High School in 1970.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Following high school, Dan served a Navajo speaking LDS mission in Arizona and New Mexico. He attended Brigham Young University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in English and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. Following graduation he pursued a career in Human Resources as a recruiter. On December 21, 1989, he married his sweetheart, Nancy Marble, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; they had three children together: Natalie, Eric and Justin. He was an extremely dedicated father, caring husband, loving grandfather, wonderful cook and a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a beautiful baritone singing voice and marvelous sense of humor. He served as temple worker for his church and as a Republican Utah County Delegate Precinct Chair. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, football, racquetball, music and politics. Dan endured health problems for many years including: diabetes, strokes and Alzheimer’s. He was fortunate to be lovingly cared for by his wife and sons during those years. Dan Deloy Barrus was surrounded by family when he was called home to our Heavenly Father on August 8, 2015, due to complications of kidney failure. He was 63.

Survived By: His parents; his wife; his children: Natalie (Ryan), Eric and Justin; his siblings: Loren, Valerie, Joyce, Delane, Randy, Cheryl and Dana; and his granddaughter, Audrey, who loves her “Papa” very much.
Preceded In Death By: His grandparents: Lila & Rodney Barrus and Fred & Josephine Simmons.
