October 7, 1931-March 18, 2016 Dick passed away after a full and active life at the young age of 84 in Stockton, CA. He was born in Hollywood, CA. Dick graduated from Red Bluff Union High School where he met his wife, Irene. He joined the United States Army in 1951 and proudly served until 1954. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, with a masters degree, Dick became a coach/ teacher at Sacramento High School in Sacramento. He then joined the faculty of Casa Roble High School in Orangevale where he continued his coaching and teaching career. He worked at Lucky Stores concurrently with his coaching career. Dick was an avid golfer and enjoyed all sports. Dick is survived by his wife, Irene; sons, Michael Clausen (Barbara) and Steven Clausen; daughters, Deena Fawcett, and Jody Catanzarite (Gary); grandchildren, Jessica Isom (Timmy), Natalie Fawcett, Kyle Catanzarite, Katie Catanzarite, and Camille Clausen. His first great-grandchild will arrive on April 8, 2016. The family requests that those wishing to remember Dick consider a gift to Hospice of San Joaquin. A private celebration of his life is being planned for family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
