About	Brain cancer Spotted Tail Cemetery Rosebud, SD Twilla Jo Delany passed on to the spirit world on March 25, 2013. She was born to Marjorie Burnette and Everett Whipple on November 22, 1960 in Cedar Rapids, IA. Since her father was in the Navy, she had opportunities to live in different places, including White River, SD, from time to time. When Everett retired, the family settled in California. Twilla graduated from high school in Fair Oaks, CA. She was a life-long animal lover. She owned horses and dogs from the time she was a small child. Twilla and Jim Delany were married in 2000 and settled on a ranch in Mellette County where they were able to enjoy the companionship of their horses and dogs, LBJ and Duffy. Twilla was a beautiful person who was kind and loving to all God’s living creatures. She was one of God’s children who died before her time. She was open-hearted and high-spirited with a sense of humor. Twilla was an extraordinary person who was adored by her many family members and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and grandparents. She leaves behind her daughter Alicia Whipple, grandson Jeremy and her husband Jim Delany. Services will be held from 5-9pm, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the SGU Multipurpose Building in Mission, SD. Cremation will follow and a private family interment at Spotted Tail Cemetery in Rosebud, SD will be held at a later date.
