David was a student leader, an athlete, a class favorite and general nice guy. He was tragically killed while changing pasture watering pipes from one area to another. The pipe was stood on end and accidentally came into contact with a high voltage power line. His partner in the field, fellow classmate Gary Veserat was also injured, losing a leg.
