Rick was a very generous fellow. I was the letter carrier for his residence. Having been disabled by a spider bite that almost took his life, Rick was limited in mobility. He would ride out from the property to meet me at the roadside mailbox, chat me up for a few minutes and always had a smile and a good word. Christmas time would roll around and Rick would gift me a bottle of Crown Royal! When I would crack the bottle I would toast to Rick. Rest in peace my friend.
