Raymond was my childhood best friend. We did everything together. Riding bikes, archery competitions, pick up baseball and basketball games, fort building. A lot of childhood memories. Ray went into the Army after high school. Ray married after the Army, moved to Alaska then bought property in Missouri. A successful businessman, and farrier, in his later years he penned two science fiction fantasy novels, which I found very entertaining and enjoyable reads.
Just an FYI the books are written under a pseudonym of Raymond Conrad. The books are in two volumes. Titled D’Lyon and the Avlon . Book one “ Warlord of the Mountains”. Book two “ Warrior Dragons of Jaarn “.
I considered the Facteau family as my own. Many happy days spent under their roof, watching creature features, playing pinochle games til late at night. He is sorely missed.
