About	Elaine Hampton passed away February 24, 2008. She found out she had lung cancer the previous year and fought it with great courage. It was discovered last July that she had 10 tumors in her brain, all cancerous with the doctors giving her just 6 months to live. She was a free spirit. The 3rd of 4 daughters of James and Vera Hampton who live in Oregon. Elaine loved the outdoors and worked and lived in the Grand Canyon, Florida Everglades and her favorite, Alaska for several years. She loved animals and was always going on adventures. She was a loving and caring daughter and sister and is greatly missed by her family, friends and the animals she's left behind. At her request,we had a memorial service on June 8th, 2008, spreading her ashes along the northern Oregon ocean and redwoods, just where she loved to be.
