| About Me | We opened up the Seavey Homestead in Seward, Alaska giving tourists a glimpse of what it takes to train and prepare for the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, a 45 year old event. In 2017, at age 57 Mitch broke the race record by eight hours. Our son Dallas holds the record for the youngest champion, with four wins by the time he was 30. They share seven wins between them.
