Tonza Sheree Thomas
Class of 1994
NAACP History Maker - October 2011, Tonza Sheree Thomas was elected as the first women from Columbus, GA to the Georgia State Conference NAACP. Ms. Thomas will serve as the NAACP Georgia State Secretary from 2012 - 2014. Prior to this announcement, Ms. Thomas served as the Columbus, GA Branch NAACP Secretary and Executive Director for 4 1/2 years. Included in these accomplishments while a student at Columbus Technical College, Ms. Thomas served as Georgia Phi Beta Lambda - State Historian Reporter, local Phi Beta Lambda President and Vice President and Student Advisory (Student Government) President, Vice President, Secretary and School of Business Representative. In 2010, along with area poets, Ms. Thomas was an actress and poet in the playwright and book "VOICES".
