| Favorite School Memory | All the good times with the friends whom to this day I still consider my "best friends". Those crazy videos we made in our 12th grade English Class... interesting!!! |
| About Me | I started at JCC graduated and then moved to Potsdam where I completed my BA. I then came home to student teach and began my MA through Potsdam. Started by subbing then taught 7th and 8th grade language arts at Holy Family School and also taught English 101 at JCC. Due to the changes in the local Catholic schools my position was not retained and I started applying everywhere. What I thought would be temporary is now the best place I plan to stay for a long time. I am working for Child and Youth Services on Fort Drum as a Training Specialst. I work with all ages 6 weeks to 18 years of age but primarily school age and youth age children. I work very hard with my staff and love the continual changes and transition... no day is the same. There are incredible programs surrounding me as we are affilitates wtih the Boys and Girls Club of America and 4H. The salary is great, but the opportunity is greater so I am staying put as I have never worked at place where my training and professionalism continues to grow daily and I see the difference in myself, my character and the influence and impact I have made on the children and staff that I work with. I love my job. I am also a Character Counts Instructor, CPR/First Aid Instructor and trainer for numerous educational resources. I own a house just outside of Carthage where I reside with my two black labs. I was engaged once and am still hopefull that someday I will be married and start a family. I have traveled to London to study, traveled personally to visit family, friends or for thrills, swam with the sting rays and played in the sand. I'm so very happy that I have had such wonderful opportunities.
