Eldon Ray Rice

Class of 1940

Please let this submission serve as a nomination for Eldon Ray Rice as a Distinguished Alumni (posthumous). Eldon Rice performed on the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee in 1955 and several times thereafter. He was a pioneer of Rockabilly music and is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. Eldon's Green El Rio label record from 1961 is a high demand collector's item and is one of the most valuable Rockabilly 45 records out there. It has sold for nearly $1,000 on e-bay.

Eldon's music is currently being sold around the world and can be found on many online websites. Eldon died on Feb 17, 2011.

I have attached the E-bay sale document documenting the above. Thank you for your consideration.
