BUCK JOHNSON - Born January 3, 1964 in Birmingham, AL. Played collegiately at the University of Alabama from 1983-'86. All-SEC three consecutive years ('84-'86). Alabama's fourth leading all-time scorer with 1,896 points. He ranks eighth on the Tide's all-time rebounding list with 933 rebounds. He played on four NCAA Tournament teams at Alabama. Was named to the All-SEC Tournament team in 1985 and '86. Was drafted in the 1st round of the NBA Draft (20 pick overall) by the Houston Rockets in 1986. He played seven years with the Rockets and one year with Washington Bullets. He helped lead the Rockets to the playoffs five of seven years. During his NBA career he scored 4,617 averaging 9.2 points a game. He also played many years in Europe and was an all-star player
