This is John Henrikson........Arrrrrrrgh!!!! Its June 15th 2019 and I find myself temporarily stateside. I returned from Saudi Arabia to the U.S. in Jan 2019 to purchase a block of vacation rental condos in downtown Gatlinburg TN. I spent Jan Feb Mar and April overseeing renovations on those getting them ready for the busy summer season and years to come so they can be our primary income for our retirement years. I spent May and Jun visiting my wifes mother in Fostoria ONLY 20 miles from Vassar country club. During my visit home, my wife (Shelly Henrikson Mayville class of 80) moved from her last 5 year position in Riyadh Saudi Arabia to a new 3 year contract as the corporate executive chief nurse for Hamad Medical group in Doha Qatar where she oversees all the nurses at all their hospitals located all over the country of Qatar. I will be flying back to permanently be with her again mid-July. I just found out the class reunion is Aug 8. If I am not with you all at the reunion, then I just missed being able to attend. I really wanted to be with and see you all again. I hope you are all healthy and happy enjoying time with your kids and grandkids. I will try again in 2029. Hopefully by then we will be retired somewhere on this side of the planet so I can more easily attend.
