About	Bruce Becker, 45, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 17, 2008 in Santa Clara California. Bruce was born on June 18, 1963 in Sacramento, California, raised as a teenager in Monterey, California and as an adult, resided in Santa Clara. He was the son of Dr. George A. Becker and Beverlee R. Becker. Bruce was a graduate of Carmel High School, Monterey Peninsula College with an Associates degree, and The University of California at Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He had worked in various aspects of the energy industry and most recently in pharmaceuticals. From early on in his childhood Bruce loved the water and sailing. He grew up sailing boats in the winter and water skiing in the summers until his high school years, which he devoted to sailing on the Monterey Bay. He had a passion for the open water, competition and the fellowship with other sailors. As a youth, Bruce was a member of the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club and continued his active membership until his death. At one time he was the Harbor Master at StillWater Cove and enjoyed relationships with fellow yachtsmen and clubs from Monterey to San Francisco. Bruce was a go-getter always trying to improve himself and reach ahead. Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Beverlee, and his older sister, Georgiana (Gigi). He leaves behind his loving father, George; his older brother, Steve; his younger sister, Joanie, with husband, Mike and five children; his former wife, Barbara Becker, and son, Robert (Robby) Becker.
