Class of 1982
Navy, 8 Years
I served in the United States Navy from 1984 until 1992. I went to Basic in Orlando, then spent a few months in the reserves in Michigan until they found a billet for me at the Naval Academy support command in Annapolis, MD. I was assigned to the Military Police unit as a Command Investigator, then worked in the BAQ/BEQ managing the enlisted barracks, and finally, I was assigned to the chaplain’s office as the base librarian.
Finally, I got to Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, IL. I graduated with Distinction and was assigned to Naval Hospital, Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, TX for three years. I was Honorably Discharged in 1992 after serving two years in the Active reserves.
