Joseph D. Rodriguez, (Junior) of Carnegie passed away with his wife by his side on Thursday December 5, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Joe was passionate about fishing, hunting, a good game of pool with his friend Rege and watching the Steelers. He will be missed by family, friends and Lady his dog. Joe was employed at Bridgeville Giant Eagle for 11+ years and will be missed by his co-workers and his many customers he would talk to daily. He had a very contagious smile and laugh, there wasn’t anywhere you could go that he wouldn’t know someone or make a new friend. He was someone who was always thinking of others and ready to lend a helping hand.
Joe was the loving husband of Mary A Rodriguez, and preceded in death by his parents Jose Rodriguez and Carmella Cauthen, sisters Lola Perez, Virginia Rodriguez, and his son Joey Rodriguez. Brother of Shirley Lawrence and Gloria Ferrari, Uncle Junior to many nieces and nephews, Grandfather of Nevaeh Rodriguez, step-father to Cat, John, Becca and Billy and Pap Pap to 6 grandchildren.
To honor Joe’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. I invite you to please privately celebrate Joe’s (Junior’s) memory in your own ways. I know that he will be with us all in spirit. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
