Typical of my brother, when he developed diabetes in his early 30's he chose not to follow the rules and lost his battle at the age of 39, less than a month before his 40th birthday. He left behind his parents, grandmother, wife, daughter, a niece and me, one pissed off sister who misses him every single day!
