About Me	The road I took after school has been filled with forks, twists, bumps, craters & a few earthquakes, none of which has been boring but today being married to my beautiful wife Nona & enjoying 8 children, one word describes my life, Contentment I grew up in Woodland Maine and was given a solid foundation with values, growing up with good friends and great family memories. I started drinking as a teenager and it began a journey of pain, destruction and pain for many years. The greatest pain was the murder of younger brother & best friend Mike. Trying to kill that pain with more alcohol & drugs only continued the destruction of my marriage and loss of my children. 23 yrs ago I decided my kids deserved better and sought help. After being sober 5 yrs I took a trip half way around the world only to meet the love of my life. I thought what happened to me only happened in the movies. Nona and I will celebrate 18yrs together and its been the best 18yrs of my life. I had a boy & girl twice before Nona and then was blessed with another boy & girl with Nona. Being a sober father and being involved with all my kids as they have grown up has been my greatest accomplishment & pride. Nona & I adopted a young boy almost 3yrs ago making 7. A young man & a young woman were were added several yrs ago so we now have 9 children or young adults who make up our family. being bored is impossible. The most important thing I have learned in my life is we reap what we sow. By giving is how we recieve. If one is down and not getting what they want, go find someone less fortunate and give a helping hand. sharing love, giving forgiveness and being grateful are the keys to my joy. Ha...(read more)
