About RUSSELL BARRETT STEVENS III (82) of Maple Shade, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2025. Russell was born in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Russell Barrett Stevens, Jr. and Dorothy Stevens (née Peterman). After graduating from Cardinal Dougherty High School (Class of ’60), Russ served honorably for four
years in the United States AirForce, thereafter, transferring to the U.S. Army 11th Special Forces group (Airborne) serving as a Green Beret. Upon discharge, Russ joined Sheet Metal Local 19 of Philadelphia as a mechanic where he was a union member for 44 years. Russ' character was defined by his love for God and his country which he tried to inspire in others. Over the years, his commitment to both provided him with purpose and fulfillment.

Russell was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Rosemarie (née Paschall). Surviving are a son Russell IV of Maple Shade, a daughter Rosemarie Nye (David) of Maple Shade, three grandchildren Amber Rose Salvatore, Victoria
Salvatore, and Kaelin Nye. Dear brother to Robert Stevens (Elsie). “Honorary Dad” to Jessica Lee (Crismond) Whitaker. Brother-in-law to sisters Kim Hamm (Tom) of
Trevose, PA and May Halter (Frank) of Glen Mills, PA. Russ is also survived by his
Goddaughter Michele Stevens Viola, and many cousins and nieces, as well as extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 18 at the EICHEL FUNERAL HOME 8323 Maple Ave. Pennsauken NJ. Relatives and friends may call for Viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 17. Also, again 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, N.J.
