Reunion. 1967, 68, 69
The reunion was a huge success. Those attending wanted to know where many of you were, how you were doing, and to let you know that they had so much to share.
The big question was, they came from near, (Brooklyn) and far, (Hawaii, Israel, London, California, Texas, The Carolinas, etc) WHY DIDN'T YOU COME? This is a real question. Please weigh in...perhaps next time? If you are on FACEBOOK, please friend Me, Miriam Hanan so you can be added to our closed group, CHS reunion 67, 68, 69.

Reunion for canarsie 1967, 68 ,and 69
To all of our FB friends attending the reunion on October 21, 2017...I am attaching the form for your final payment of balance due. I must pay the bill in full on October 1st so, I would like final payment by June 1st. If you have not sent in a deposit yet and want to attend, there is still time but I will be closing reservations by July 31st as certain things need to be preordered to enhance the experience.
In addition, we have 104 paid attendees and if we push the limit of the the room capacity of 120, the next larger room is still available as of today. PLEASE DON'T DELAY.
One important thing I need from all is to respond to me by email only, with your name as it appears on your drivers license for gate clearance at the military base. Email this information to me at

THERE WILL BE ASSORTED HOT HORS D'OEUVRES from 7 to 7:30
a Premium OPEN BAR will be available for the entire evening
dinner will be buffet style, so you do not have to choose a main course..you can have it all
tossed salad, whole flatiron steak, salmon in lemon dill sauce, chicken francaise, penne ala vodka, roasted potatoes, green beans almondine

If you can still get a room at the Holiday Inn Express on the military base, make sure you tell them you are attending a function at the community center.
Room sharing will bring the costs down. Let's try to work on that together so if you want to share, please post on this page.
As always, thanks for your responses and lovely messages. This will be exciting. For those of you coming in a few days in advance of October 21st, we are still working on a bus trip on Friday, October 20 around Brooklyn and a visit to the Canarsie schools. It will be reasonably priced and information will follow if we are able to make the connections we need.

Start gathering memorabilia....photos, yearbooks, school jackets, hats, pins, scripts/ lyrics from SING, etc including elementary school and JHS.
