Fred E Moeslein, Jr, 73, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Boiling Springs, PA passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at West Shore Hospital. He was born February 15, 1944 in Pittston, PA to his late parents Fred E. Moeslein, Sr. and Margaret (Forrester) Moeslein.
Fred was a manager for Heavy duty Parts, Harrisburg and retired from Haldex Brake Products, Harrisburg. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, 28th Inf. Division. He was a former member and past president of the PA Motor Truck Association. A member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle; a life member of the Knights of Columbus, Camp Hill, the Harrisburg Elks Lodge #12, and the Harrisburg Maennerchor Club.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan (Weber) Moeslein, his son, Fred M. Moeslein, MD, PhD (Katie) of Sarasota FL, a daughter Pamela Padgett (Matt) of Birmingham, AL.; 5 grandchildren, Frederick, Miranda, Alexander, Penelope, and Maximillian Moeslein; 2 step-granddaughters Jessie Padgett Hazel (John) and Rebecca Padgett Plotts(Andrew) and 2 step-great granddaughters. Fred is survived by 1 brother, Richard Moeslein (Sally), Richmond, VA, 2 sisters Ellen Panrock (George), Glassboro, NJ, and Margaret Harder (Lawrence), Mechanicsburg. Also, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 1 brother John F. Moeslein.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Burial with will take place at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Bethany Village Care Assurance Fund at 325 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
