About Jacob Nailor Obituary
Jacob S. Nailor III, 81, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday at his residence.
Born on September 21, 1921 in Camp Hill, he was the son of the late Jacob S. and Kathryn (Gross) Nailor, Jr.

Jacob was a graduate of the Camp Hill High School, Class of 1939; and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Class of 1942. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill and headed their food bank program. He was a life member and Past Commander of VFW Post #6704, Mechanicsburg; was also a Past Commander of the Cumberland County VFW; a member of the American Legion Post #109, Mechanicsburg; 9th Infantry Division Association; life member of Washington Fire Company; Mechanicsburg Club and the Carpenters Union Local #287. He enjoyed car racing and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jacob was recognized by the county for over 50 years of continuous voting. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in Northern Africa; Sicily and the Normandy Invasion.

Jacob was the widower of Ada M. (Kutz) Nailor.

He is survived by his wife, Adrienne "Nicki" (Frickman) Nailor; a daughter, Peggy A. Brechbiel of Harrisburg; 3 sons, Representative Jerry L. Nailor of Mechanicsburg; Stephen L. Nailor of Alexandria, Virginia and Craig E. Hocker of Biglerville; a brother, Donald E. Nailor of Harrisburg; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Rabold.

Funeral services will be Monday, at 11 a.m., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, with the Reverend J. Stewart Hardy, officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Monday in the Church Library. Burial with full military honors will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
