My good friend and classmate Jackie Ziehmer died January 19, 2004 after a battle with cancer. He is buried in Clinton, Oklahoma. Jackie was a crazy and funny guy and we had lots of fun. We cruised the streets of California, sat on the square, talked about girls, ate tater tots at Jimmy's Drive In and always seemed to end up at Rolls Pool Hall. He was supposed to join the Air Force with me in 1961 after graduation but backed out at the last minute. The photo was taken in Fairborn Ohio where my Mom lived at the time and we took our first road trip after graduation (May 1961). I believe I only saw him a couple of times after that but I still consider him my friend and think of him often. Rest in peace Jackie.
