About Me	Heather joined the Human Resources Team at Arkansas Federal Credit Union in 2005. She has 10+ years of diverse human resources and management experience. She has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, compensation, performance management, recruiting, compliance reporting, HRIS implementations, HR workflow development, training and development, and benefits administration. Her focus on corporate culture and employee engagement was recently recognized as Arkansas Federal was named by Arkansas Business as one of the Best Places To Work in Arkansas and by Credit Union Journal as one of the Best Credit Unions To Work For. Prior to joining Arkansas Federal, Heather partnered with Human Resources leadership of both small and large organizations across many industries as a Life and Health Insurance agent for A. F. Smith and Associates, Inc. for 5+ years. She specialized in developing and implementing employee benefit programs. While at Arkansas Federal, Heather began her career as Training & Development Coordinator (2005) and after successfully growing their Training & Development program was promoted to management. Her leadership roles have included T&D Supervisor (2008), T&D Manager (2010), AVP/Human Resources (2012), VP/Human Resources (2014), and SVP/Human Resources (2018). She serves as Board Chair for Arkansas Federal's Insurance CUSO, AFCU Insurance Solutions, LLC. Heather earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Central Arkansas. She earned her Certified Senior Executive (CSE) Designation from the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES).
