About Me Married to a beautiful Brazilian lady, which has motivated me see the incredible country of Brazil (and surrounding countries) a number of times. It added an entire continent to my travels, having visited or worked in all continents except Antarctica...I keep waiting for all that ice to melt. But have lived overseas five times and pretty much all corners and islands of the country (my wanderlust has never been quenched). Spent 22 years in military service, active duty 4 times for 8 years, the rest in the active reserve; loved my time in Naval Aviation. Worked in a handful of federal agencies, but spent the vast bulk of my time in the freer civilian world. Career centered around natural resource work (water issues in Cali, aviation in the Pacific and western USA, building renewable energy sources and expanding infrastructure doing large, liner projects. With a brother who has lived most of his life in Alaska, and another in upstate New York, my family travels let me add a few more miles to my travel here in the US. Love to read, write, take photographs, explore new places via air or 4-wheel drive. Still enjoy my tennis (a gentleman named Arthur Ashe was an assistant coach at a school I went to back ea...(read more)
