| About Me | U.S. Navy destroyer officer- 1955-57. U.S. Submarine officer - 1957 to 1981. Commanding Officer of USS Queenfish (SSN-651) 1969 to 1973 , Commanding Officer of Naval Underwater Systems Center - 1978 to 1980, Associate then Full professor at University of Colorado - 1986-1991, President of non-profit corporation Science Service (Westinghouse Science Talent Search and International Science and Engineering Fair) and Publisher of Science News - 1991 to 1996, President of Explorers Club - 1996 to 2000, Lecturer on 60+ different expedition and cruise ships, Deep Sea exploration - two dives to Titanic wreck, two dives to wreck of German Battleship Bismarck, one dive to Mid-Atlantic Ridge hydrothermal vents.
