| About Me | Joined the Army National Guard thru the Women's Army Corps (1976) while in HS, Completed a BS degree in Education, taught school for 7 years while in the Army National Guard; had three children; went to Officer Candidate School and got my commission in the Army Reserves, worked for the government for 5 years, then went on active duty in the Army. Been there ever since, but in multiple locations. While in the Army, went back to college for my graduate degrees. Travelled a lot. Got remarried and gained a second daughter. Deployed in support of OND and OEF, spent time in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Saudi Arabia. Came home, and moved again to DC, but family stayed in Texas to build our retirement home. I have 11 grandchildren and hopefully more on the way. Retired on 1 August 2017 at the rank of Colonel from the military with over 41 years of service to this great country. Opened a YogaFit Studio in San Antonio focused on giving back to the community through the YogaFit Warriors program. Closed the studio but I continue to teach Yoga Therapy privately, making sure I have time for family and fun. Enjoy working in my wood shop, making things for family & friends.
