Served 13 years in the Navy Submarine Service. served on 4 nuclear power submarines and had 1 tour teaching advanced engineering for submarines atmosphere control systems to selected qualified students. Selected as Submarine Atlantic Fleet Sailor of year in 1985. I separated from the Navy in 1992 and joined the Army in 1994 retiring in 2005. I was selected and assigned to a Field Artillery Company as a Gun Chief for a M198 Howitzer 155 towed, served as a Platoon Sargent with a total of 5 combat tours. On my 5th combat tour deployed to Iraq I had the privilege and honor to to be selected and promoted to serve as the Command Sargent Major during the 13 month deployment. The men and women under my command are the best I ever served with.
