About	Patrick M. Raftery, of Burlington Township, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 22, 2013 at his home. He was 59 years of age. Born on March 27, 1954 in Beech Grove, Ind., he was the son of the late Francis and Mary Ann Raftery. A longtime Burlington Township resident, Patrick was employed by Conrail in Mount Laurel as a train master. A devoted father, grandfather, brother and uncle, he was an avid sportsman and sports fan. A member of the Roma Club, he loved playing the lottery, telling tall tales and colorful jokes. Patrick was known to always have a smile on his face and a happy disposition. He is survived by his children, Kelly Raftery (Melanie), of Chandler, Ariz., Katy Jurkowitsch (Adrian), of Burlington, Bridget Raftery and Tessa Raftery, also of Burlington. Patrick is also survived by his three grandchildren, Killian, Delaney and Asher; as well as his siblings and their spouses, Theresa Temkin (Bob), of Eastampton, Kevin Raftery (Marylynne), of Flemington, Danny Raftery (Barb), of Marlton and Gary Engel Sr., of Lanexa, Va. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, great friends and his three cats, Lou, Cleo and Gus. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Patrick's family from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. A memorial prayer service will be held during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Patrick's memory be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
